At least two pretty exciting events took place this week in the Sjoblom Household. Well, three if you count the candidate forums sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Bartow.

Classroom Honors

This week Max was selected as the classroom VIP in Mrs. Deliz’s class at Spessard Holland Elementary. And, on Friday he was honored as Student of the Week. He was noticed as being helpful and kind to his neighbors. This is no big surprise to people who know him well. His heart is as big as his body. When you first meet him, he does give off a bit of the “bull in a china shop” vibe. But Max is a naturally kind and generous person. He was so excited to be recognized. It’s one of those moments that make a parent’s heart sing.

Cupcakes Now Available

It’s pretty widely known that Jennifer can do just about anything she sets her mind to do. For several years now, she has been known as quite the cake artist. Well, anything you can do with cake can pretty much be replicated in smaller forms as well.

One of my favorite cakes Jenn has made. The fish is sculpted from Rice Krispy treats and hand painted with food coloring

This week she began a partnership with Unfiltered in Bartow. If you haven’t been to Unfiltered yet you really must go. It’s hard to describe all that goes on there. They recently found themselves in need of a new baker and connected with Jennifer.

The thing about what she does that is unique is not only is each cupcake a work of art, they taste amazing! Because of the use of gourmet ingredients and the level of design involved it is a real challenge to mass-produce them. People have begun stalking Unfiltered’s Facebook page to see when the next delivery arrives to be sure they get one. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I love watching people begin to recognize the talents that Jennifer possesses. The only downside is that since each cupcake is now so precious I don’t get to sample as many as I would like ๐Ÿ˜ญ.
